If you think that being fully awake 24/7 makes an enlightened teacher a better teacher than someone who isn't, then all you have to do is find a teacher who meets your criteria and go study with her. However, I'm curious to know how you would confirm such a claim? How would you know, beyond any doubt, that a particular teacher experienced 24/7 awakeness? Just because they make that claim? For that matter, how can you know that anyone claiming to be enlightened is actually enlightened? Many people who are not enlightened claim that they are, and many people who are enlightened will not say that they are (because they find such a claim offensive). As a seeker, upon what basis are you going to accurately separate the wheat from the chaff?
