All pointers are pointing to what is always here and now, beyond thought---THIS, Source, "what is," Being, Tao, Life, or whatever you want to call it. Thoughts are part of THIS, but thoughts tend to obscure the obvious. This is why many teachers tell seekers, "Stop and be still." If we are still, it is like setting a glass of muddy water on a table and letting things settle down. In stillness the mud settles, and the water becomes clear. With clarity only awareness remains.
It's hard to believe that oneness is all there is, but them's the facts. There are not two here. There is no "you" separate from the whole of reality. There is no boundary between the body of "you" and the farthest galaxy, but this is not immediately obvious.
If you review the pointers on this board, you will find these admonitions:
Watch
Notice
Attend
See
Look at the world non-conceptually, without knowing, and without imagining anything (any thing).
For a while, ignore thoughts and just look around. Maybe go for a walk in the woods.
When you look without knowing, you are looking at the truth.
If you persistently look without knowing, you will sooner or later realize that the looker and the looked at are one and the same.
THIS is aware and intelligent. In the form of a human being THIS imagines that It is a human being. Seeing through this illusion is the focus of this website and all non-dual spiritual traditions.
You, as a separate entity, will never find what you are looking for, but if attention is shifted from thoughts to what can be directly perceived, THIS can discover that "you" was only a figment of It's imagination, a complex of thoughts held together by a story.
