Important note: All the posts on this blog were written by Bob Harwood (AKA 'zendancer') on the forum spiritualteachers.proboards.com. I have merely reposted a collection of them in blog format for the convenience of seekers. Some very small mods were made on occasion to make posts readable outside of the forum setting they were made in.

In truth, there is only YOU.

Or, to put it another way, you and reality are one. Most people live under the illusion that there are two here, so it makes sense to them that there is a doer who can do things to change their experiences "for the better."

People like Norman Vincent Peale and others have written books advising that if a person thinks positively, positive things will happen. Napolean Hill wrote a book titled "Think and grow rich" based upon the same kind of ideas. All self-help books promote the same approach, but underlying them all is the assumption that there is a self who can be helped by doing something. We might say that all such approaches are "self" fulfilling. LOL

Following this approach is okay if there is no interest in waking up from the illusion of selfhood. It all depends upon how far down the rabbit hole you want to go. If you want a "good" life or "a better" life, then you may be interested in creating "a better reality" and thinking that you are a successful "co-creator." If, however, your main interest is in finding the truth, then stop where you are, be still, look within, and find out who, or what, is lacking anything. Find out whether there is more than one here.

As for "vibrations," "frequencies of oscillation," "laws of attraction," etc. those are all secondary to the primary issue. Do you want "a better life" or the truth? What do YOU want?
