Important note: All the posts on this blog were written by Bob Harwood (AKA 'zendancer') on the forum spiritualteachers.proboards.com. I have merely reposted a collection of them in blog format for the convenience of seekers. Some very small mods were made on occasion to make posts readable outside of the forum setting they were made in.

We shift attention to body knowledge i

...n order to get in touch with the truth, and we then see intellectual knowledge from the perspective of being grounded in truth. After the truth becomes obvious, and we become free of the mind's dominance, then it no longer matters where attention roams. There is no longer a sense of being a separate entity that needs to direct attention anywhere, or find anything, or become anything. The mind, at long last, functions freely (which is what it was always doing, though not realized).

The sage has full access to intellectual knowledge, but is not attached to it, and is not bound by it. From a sage's perspective everything is fundamentally empty, manifesting just like this--fingers typing on a keyboard, letters appearing on a screen, air conditioner humming in the background.
