Gettings things into perspective

I remember reading a small book several years ago titled "On The Loose" (or something like that). It was written by two young guys who set off into the wilderness just for fun, adventure, and exploration. It was a kind of celebration of life, and I've often thought that most adults would greatly benefit from a similar two or four-week stay in the wilderness every year or so. The kids start off soft and out-of-shape, and gradually become hard-bodied, lean, tough, and now-oriented as they ATA their way through the mountains. If nothing else, such a periodic sojourn would help put ordinary life into better perspective and would clean out the mental cobwebs.
