Important note: All the posts on this blog were written by Bob Harwood (AKA 'zendancer') on the forum spiritualteachers.proboards.com. I have merely reposted a collection of them in blog format for the convenience of seekers. Some very small mods were made on occasion to make posts readable outside of the forum setting they were made in.

In absolute samadhi

...there is pure awareness without experience, experiencer, or content. In hindsight, we call this "a unity-conscious" experience, but during samadhi there is only alert aware empty presence; body, mind, and world have vanished. It is impossible to talk about samadhi because there is no content or experience in that state that can be discussed. After samadhi dissipates, we can say that it was "an experience" only because it had a starting and ending point and had duration.
