Important note: All the posts on this blog were written by Bob Harwood (AKA 'zendancer') on the forum spiritualteachers.proboards.com. I have merely reposted a collection of them in blog format for the convenience of seekers. Some very small mods were made on occasion to make posts readable outside of the forum setting they were made in.

Most people who ask spiritual kinds of questions

...assume that the questions are being asked by a separate entity, a person, a someone "in here" looking at a world "out there" who wants to understand what's going on. It is possible to find out whether or not the underlying assumption is valid, but it requires investigation. If the source of both the assumption and the secondary questions is discovered, all questions will cease.

Where do thoughts come from? How do they arise? For whom do they arise? Who is looking for truth? What is the truth? Is there such a thing as "truth?" All of these questions can be resolved, but for that to occur, there must be a willingness to be still and to look within. That which is being searched for is that which is doing the searching. As Jesus said (in the Gospel of Thomas), "When you make the two into one, and the outside as the inside, and the above as the below........(etc)......then you will enter the Kingdom." He also reportedly said, "The Kingdom of the father is spread out upon the earth, but men do not see it."
