...all kinds of emotions can still arise. Just as laughter is contagious, sadness can be contagious, too. Sadness can arise without any resistance at all to "what is." If a relative or a friend dies, great sadness can occur even though death is fully accepted and there is no thought that anything should be different. A child in the absence of thoughts will often cry if a toy is taken away; it is a body response that does not require intellectual reflection. IOW, it sounds as if there is someone actively making an effort to accept "what is," striving for a "better" quality of experience, and investigating thoughts if sadness or other "negative" emotions arise. What I'm pointing to is so free that such thinking, accepting, reflecting, checking, evaluating, etc. never even occurs because there is no entity self-referencing anything.
Watch a small child. From its perspective it is not "in flow." From its perspective there is no one to be in flow or to do anything. The organism, its actions and emotions, and the environment are undivided and nonreflexive.
