Important note: All the posts on this blog were written by Bob Harwood (AKA 'zendancer') on the forum spiritualteachers.proboards.com. I have merely reposted a collection of them in blog format for the convenience of seekers. Some very small mods were made on occasion to make posts readable outside of the forum setting they were made in.

An enlightened person is free from the illusion (does not imagine) that s/he is a person.

S/he sees that there is only oneness manifesting however it manifests. Oneness is seen to be a unified whole that cannot be known using the mind. It, alone, rules, and when this is seen and fully accepted (surrendered to), the individuated perspective relaxes and goes with the flow, never knowing what will happen next, but trusting in the absolute perfection of that flow. S/he has no volition in any usual sense because there is no one to exercise any volition.

The body does what it does however it does it. It may buy a ticket to another country, appy for a passport, wander homeless, or start a business. The enlightened person simply watches everything that is happening from a standpoint of total emptiness. Moment to moment s/he is amazed, joyous, frustrated, irritated, thankful, full of pathos, etc. but always unified with what's happening. Life is not unlike that of other people, but the sense of selfhood, volitional or otherwise, is missing. From his/her perspective there are never two here.
