Important note: All the posts on this blog were written by Bob Harwood (AKA 'zendancer') on the forum spiritualteachers.proboards.com. I have merely reposted a collection of them in blog format for the convenience of seekers. Some very small mods were made on occasion to make posts readable outside of the forum setting they were made in.

Look at what we call "hand," "wrist," and "arm."

Where are the lines, precisely, dividing these "things" from each other? Get a ballpoint pen and draw the lines. As soon as one attempts to do this, one sees the absurdity of it. There are no real boundaries; they are all imaginary. Hand-wrist-arm is a seamless whole. The truth is...........(silently wriggles entire assemblage--LOL). Hands, wrists, and arms are IDEAS. They are IMAGINARY. The truth is.........(again wriggles hand/wrist/arm). This is one of the reasons Zen uses koans--to trigger realizations that will powerfully internalize the difference between the living truth and dead ideas ABOUT the truth.

If we look around without thinking, we see the truth (the no-truth truth). If we keep looking at the truth long enough, we discover that we ARE the truth. The truth is alive, Igor. It is Alive! .....and it is whole. In the wholeness of what we ARE not a single thing has any independent existence. All "thingness" is imaginatively interdependent. "Thingness" is like a grid imaginatively thrown over reality. In the real world, the world of oneness, not a single thing exists. Things are IDEAS!

Oneness means oneness.
