Important note: All the posts on this blog were written by Bob Harwood (AKA 'zendancer') on the forum spiritualteachers.proboards.com. I have merely reposted a collection of them in blog format for the convenience of seekers. Some very small mods were made on occasion to make posts readable outside of the forum setting they were made in.

The questioner

The questioner is not who or what anyone thinks it is. That which asked the question (let's call it Reality) can imagine itself as a self-referencer, but that is not what it IS. When selfhood is seen to be imaginary, Reality remains, and, as Dr. Frankenstein said to his assistant, "It's alive, Igor. It's alive." Reality does not create its own reality. It simply is. If this is seen, then Reality, in the form of a human being, can relax and stop fighting with itself (jousting at windmills?). No beliefs of any kind are involved in this. Outside and inside become one, psychologically, and Peace ensues. Reality is beyond any idea, including the idea that "it makes sense" or the idea that "it doesn't make sense." If there is non-abidance, the body always knows what to do, and the mind wastes no time thinking that things should be different than they are. The world, just as it is, is seen to be perfectly so, and equanimity pervades all.

If you could remain in that not-knowingness, facing the wall beyond which mind cannot go, the truth might discover itself. "You" will never find the truth, but when "you" disappear, there will no longer be anything imagining that the truth is anything other than what it is. These words are simply a pointer. Reality will either look where they are pointing and go there, or not.
